Nigeria’s Minister of Defence, General Christopher Gwabin Musa (Retd.), on December 14, 2025, received the President of the Republic of Togo, His Excellency Jean-Lucien Savi de Tové, in Abuja.
The courtesy visit preceded the 68th Ordinary Session of the ECOWAS Authority of Heads of State and Government, held in the Nigerian capital on the same day.
Discussions between the two leaders centered on ongoing regional security challenges and the need to strengthen multilateral cooperation among ECOWAS member states to address threats to stability in West Africa.
The meeting underscores Nigeria’s role in fostering regional dialogue and security coordination within the ECOWAS framework.
