Traditional Ruler’s Failed Attempt To Sacrifice Son For Rituals Unveiled –


The Lagos State Police Command recently arrested ten individuals suspected of engaging in grave robbery and ritualistic killings. Other suspects included local leaders and individuals involved in the procurement and preparation of human body parts for rituals.

According to reports, Yusuf Lawal Muse, originally from Diasou in Benin Republic, had relocated to various areas in Ogun State before his arrest. He confessed to planning to kill his own son for ritual purposes, citing the son’s criminal behavior and threats against his life.

However, his plan was thwarted when the hired individuals, upon consulting with an idol priest, decided against carrying out the act and instead informed the son’s mother, leading to their arrest by the police.

Ademola Akinlosota, identified as the leader of the gang, admitted to being contracted by Yusuf Lawal Muse to carry out the murder. He confessed to participating in the killing of two victims and supplying their body parts to the traditional ruler and other buyers.

Akinlosota also revealed the evolution of their criminal activities, from exhuming dried corpses from cemeteries to procuring freshly murdered victims as per their clients’ demands.

He further disclosed the modus operandi of the gang, including targeting victims, consulting with an Ifa priest for divination, and carrying out the killings in designated locations.

Despite his involvement in the crimes, Akinlosota expressed remorse for his actions and vowed to change his ways if given another chance.
