Tribunal: It’s Surprising That INEC Is Turning Around To Object Their Certified Documents -Chris Uche

The presidential election petition tribunal sitting in Abuja continued hearing the petitions brought by the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar challenging the victory of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the last presidential election.

One of the lead counsel to Atiku Abubakar, Chris Uche SAN has called out the role played by the Independent National Electoral.

Speaking to reporters shortly after today’s session, Uche said INEC is not complying in given them some documents despite paying for them.

Speaking further, he said it is surprising that INEC has been objecting the documents they have certified.

Hear him “It’s Surprising That the documents INEC has been objecting to this past days that we have been tendering documents are all certified true copy. These are documents we applied for INEC to release it to us. They are required by law to release them.

Its surprising that the documents issued and certified by INEC are being objected by them. They asked us to pay to get the certified documents which we paid 6.9 million to get from them. If they are now casting aspirations and doubts even on their own documents, then it raises the question of integrity. And this is a government institution. “
