In a swift response to a distress call, the Nigerian Army and Department of State Services (DSS) have collaborated to intercept an armed terrorist group in Sokoto State.
According to a statement released by the Army on Friday, the joint operation prevented a planned attack in the Modachi general area of Isa Local Government Area.
The terrorists, traveling on motorcycles, were met with heavy resistance by security forces. Seven terrorists were neutralized, and a cache of weapons was recovered, including seven AK-47 rifles, four motorbikes, two mobile phones, and four machetes.
The Army emphasized that this proactive action averted a potential disaster and protected civilians in the North West region. The successful operation demonstrates the unwavering commitment of security forces to combat terrorism and restore peace in troubled areas.
