According to him, he met the love of his life in his village, and they got married and started living as husband and wife. They were blessed with four children, two boys, and two girls.
His life changed one day as he was heading to his usual work of offloading trucks. A few meters from his workplace, as he was crossing the road, a truck that was overspeeding hit him, and after the driver saw what had happened, he drove off and ran away.
He was left to die, and good Samaritans rushed him to the hospital. His legs were badly injured, and nothing could have been done except to remove both legs.
When his wife heard what had happened to him, she ran to the hospital crying. When she saw him, she could not believe her eyes. A man who was a breadwinner had become disabled.
He says that after he woke up and saw his legs were removed, he couldn’t believe it, and he saw his life had come to an end. After the doctor came to ask for a hospital bill, that’s when he opened up to him and told him that since he has become disabled, he doesn’t want to become a burden to his family.
He offered to pay the doctor the money he had so that he could inject him and end his life, and the doctor agreed.
Someone in the room heard the conversation and rushed to his wife and told her what her husband was planning to do. She ran to the hospital crying and stopped him from doing that. She paid the hospital bills, and they went home.
He claims that life has not been easy since his wife is the one working, and sometimes he goes to beg in the streets so that they can buy food.
He is now pleading with well-wishers to help him raise the money to purchase a wheelchair so that he can be able to move from one place to another and help his wife pay the school fees for their children....READ FULL ARTICLE
