Erdan then turned his attention to Gaza, where Israel has killed almost 39,000 Palestinians. He highlighted that 120 captives were being held by “Iranian-supported and inspired terrorist organisations.”
He accused Hamas of crimes against humanity and added that the group “continues to exploit this council’s inaction by hiding its commanders among civilians and its military positions in UNRWA schools.”
“The war will not end until these hostages have been released,” Erdan emphasized.
