Viral Video: NDPHC Boss Allegedly Hands ₦20 Million to Sarah Martins for Seyi Tinubu
Fresh Twist: Video Shows NDPHC Boss Giving ₦20 Million to Actress Sarah Martins on Behalf of Seyi Tinubu

A fresh controversy has erupted after a viral video showed the Managing Director of the Niger Delta Power Holding Company (NDPHC), Jennifer Adighije, presenting ₦20 million to Nollywood actress, Sarah Martins, allegedly on behalf of Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Tinubu.
Naija News understands that the saga began last week when Martins alleged she was harassed by Kick Against Indiscipline (KAI) officials during a charity outreach at Ikate, Lekki, Lagos.
According to her, officials seized food items, a cooking gas cylinder, and other materials she was using to feed the less privileged.
The Lagos State Government later defended the officials’ action, insisting Martins violated environmental and safety laws by cooking on a road median without authorisation.
In the aftermath, Martins took to Instagram to express gratitude for what she described as a ₦20 million donation facilitated by Seyi Tinubu and the Noella Foundation, directed by his wife, Layla.
However, Seyi distanced himself from the donation. In a statement, he said while he was aware of the incident, the ₦20 million came from “a group of compassionate friends” who raised the funds to help Martins secure a proper space for her outreach.
He noted, “My friends, moved by compassion, contributed the funds. While I appreciate their gesture, I must emphasise that I do not support any activity that violates state laws.”
According to The Cable, a new video has cast doubt on the claims. The footage showed Adighije, appointed NDPHC MD in August 2024, handing Martins US dollar bills said to be worth ₦20 million.
“Seyi asked me to give this to you. He is out of the country… when he comes back he said I should let you know he will see you and expect you to be able to get a shop with this,” Adighije was heard saying in the clip.
In the same video, Martins broke down in tears while expressing appreciation. “God bless you, Mr. Seyi Tinubu, God bless you, sir. This means a lot. And it will go a long way,” she said emotionally.
