The Nigerian military has reaffirmed its commitment to eradicating the Lakurawa terrorist group operating along the Nigeria- Niger border. This resolve was emphasized by Major General Oluyinka Soyele, the Theatre Commander of the Joint Task Force North West, Operation Fansan Yamma, during a recent operational visit to the tactical headquarters of the Defense Headquarters (DHQ) Special Operations Brigade in Balle, Gudu Local Government Area, Sokoto State.
In a statement released by Lieutenant Colonel Abubakar Abdullahi, the spokesperson for Operation Fansan Yamma, Major General Soyele assured troops of the military’ s readiness to neutralize the Lakurawa terrorists. During his address, he highlighted the importance of commitment and vigilance among the forces engaged in the operation, stressing the need to uphold Nigeria’ s territorial integrity, which he described as inviolable.
