‘We Will Let You Control The State But We Will Not Allow You To Make Us Cry’ – Wike Tells Fubara

With less than 24 hours to the handing over of the leadership of Rivers State to the Governor-elect, Siminalayi Fubara. The incumbent Governor, Nyesom Wike has advised the Governor-elect to tread with caution as the leader of the state.

He noted that they want Fubara to perform more better than the other governors of the state. According to him, the leadership of the state which would be placed in his hands is to govern the state in the right direction with the advice of other former governors.

He said, ”You have to be very careful in handling the state. Rivers State is a state that has a lot of potential to do very well more than we have done. We will not stop you from controlling the state but we will not allow you to make us cry. We want you to succeed more than us so that while we are passing on the road, we can raise our shoulders high that we told you that you will do better than us.”
