Why I don’t believe in casting out devils, witches…

Nigerian pastor Isaac Omoleyin recently made a surprising revelation during a sermon, stating that he has never cast out devils, witches, or wizards in thirty years.

Pastor Omoleyin clearly stated that holiness is paramount, describing it as a “seventy percent need.”

He explained that the devil avoids individuals who embody the fruits of the Spirit and are free from the works of the flesh.

This perspective indirectly challenges the practices of many deliverance churches in Nigeria, which focus on casting out demonic powers from their members—an approach that contrasts sharply with Pastor Omoleyin’s beliefs.

In his own words, he shared, “For the past thirty years, I have never prayed against witches. I don’t even know if they exist. Instead of us binding witches and casting out devils, we should ask: what does the devil eat? The works of the flesh are his food. When he comes to you and finds no flesh but fruits, he has nothing to devour. If you are focused on witches and wizards, it says something about your spiritual level.”
