Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has revealed the presidential candidate he would vote for in the forthcoming elections in 2023.
The Governor affirmed, on Wednesday, that he and his camp have no issue with the candidate to support ahead of the 2023 presidential election.
He however demanded that the leadership structure of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) should be restructured to reflect the inclusiveness of all party stakeholders.
Specifically, Governor Makinde demanded the resignation of Sen. Iyorchia Ayu as the PDP National Chairman and for him to be replaced by a Southerner.
There have been rumours that Makinde, Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State and Governor, Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State may dump Atiku Abubakar to pitch tent with Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State ahead of the 2023 election.
Wike has been in a long-running battle with Atiku and the leadership of the main opposition party Following the fallout of the presidential primaries and the choice of the vice-presidential candidate.
All efforts to reconcile the party stalwarts have yielded no positive result.
Atiku Is Our Incoming President
However, against speculations on parting ways with Atiku, Makinde on Wednesday at a meeting with party stakeholders, declared that Atiku is their incoming President.
