Nigerian comedian cum actor, Woli Arole, has frowned at the popular saying, “I prefer to cry in a Lamborghini than smile in a Marwa.”
Naija News reports that the statement comes in the wake of the marital woes between Nollywood actress, Regina Daniels and her billionaire husband, Ned Nwoko.
While some Nigerians believe it is better to cry in a Lamborghini while enjoying the wealth of a billionaire, others claim they would rather smile in a Marwa, also known as a tricycle.
Taking to his Instagram page, the UK-based entertainer dismissed the statement, describing it as useless.
Woli Alore further warned people to think twice before agreeing with such a mindset.
In his words, “I prefer to cry in a Lamborghini than smile in a Marwa, it’s a useless statement oooo. Don’t say it with people oooo!!! Your cry in Lambo can be for a lifetime oooo!!! Think it twice.”
Meanwhile, a Catholic priest, Fr. Kelvin Ugwu, recently stated that the union between Ned Nwoko and Regina Daniels is fuelled by greed.
Speaking via a social media post, the clergyman asserted that the duo ought not to complain about their marital woes.
Ugwu said Ned was looking for a virgin, and Regina was looking for wealth, and they both got together with each other for that reason.
He said they have no reason to complain now that they are reaping the fruits of their greed.
The priest said that what the older politician and his younger actress wife had was a contract where both got what they wanted, not a marriage.
