You Can Have Your First Class From Harvard, It’s None Of My Business—Wike tackles Reuben Abati

During an interview with Channels correspondents, the governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, slammed Dr. Reuben Abati for always criticizing politicians over their wrongful deeds, pointing out that he’s less concerned about his degree. Wike stated that he (Abati) can take his first class at Harvard, but it’s none of his business.

Wike however challenged Dr Reuben Abati to reveal what he came to tell him when he was in the EFCC. Wike added that if you have first-class, you must use it well for the benefit of the people.

According to him, “There’s one journalist who brags that he has a first class in the university, but he was a press secretary to a president.” When they were bashing the president, he could say anything. So you will ask, “Where’s the first class?” Capacity to deliver, capacity to speak with your colleagues—it’s not about being first class. Reuben Abati is not one of those I want to talk about. Deputy president to whom? And these are the same people who talk about people’s morals. You ran deputy to a known drug lord. Ask him: “When he was in the EFCC, when he came to see me at Soko, what did he come to see me for?” You know we’re tired of when, when you have a platform, you begin to ask as if you have the right to say anything you want to say. People don’t have morals; you can have your first class at Harvard; it’s none of my business; you have your first class; go use it and do something good for your people.
