Yoruba Nation agitator, Sunday Igboho, has warned former presidential candidates, Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi, not to bring their campaign to the South-West ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
Naija News reports that in a video that circulated online on Sunday, Igboho said he would not allow political supporters to promote the two politicians across the Yoruba region.
According to him, anyone planning to campaign for either Atiku or Obi in the South-West should stay away, as such activities would not be welcomed in the area.

The activist made it clear that he stands firmly behind Nigeria’s president, Bola Tinubu.
“No more useless Atiku or Obi in Yorubaland. If you know that you are crazy, campaign for one Atiku or Obi in Yoruba region.
“Tinubu for second term; beyond 2027. 100 per cent. After eight years of Asiwaju, we’ll pray for extra years. Throughout Lagos and Yorubaland, it’s for Asiwaju. We will all vote for him,” the activist declared.
He said the region would continue to support Tinubu politically and that efforts would be made to keep him in power beyond the next election cycle.
Igboho also spoke about the future of Tinubu’s leadership, saying the president would receive strong backing from people in Lagos and other parts of Yorubaland.
He added that residents of the region would vote massively for the president whenever the time comes.
His comments come only weeks after his return to Nigeria. Igboho arrived in the country on January 26, 2026, after spending years outside the country.
His return followed the decision by the federal government to remove his name from the list of wanted persons.
Several respected traditional rulers had earlier appealed to President Tinubu to allow the activist to return home.
Among those who spoke on his behalf were the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Rashidi Ladoja; the Ooni of Ife, Adeyeye Ogunwusi; and the Olugbon of Orile Igbon, Francis Alao.
Igboho had left Nigeria in July 2021 after security operatives stormed his residence in Ibadan, Oyo State.
The operation involved officers from the Department of State Services and the Nigerian Army.
Authorities accused him at the time of keeping illegal weapons in his home.
The raid happened during a period when Igboho was actively campaigning against armed herders who had been linked to attacks on farmers and kidnappings in forests across the South-West.
Following the incident, he was declared wanted by the government during the administration of former President Muhammadu Buhari.
His Nigerian passport was withdrawn, and his bank accounts were also frozen despite court decisions that favoured him.
