BREAKING: Tinubu Hosts Adeleke In Aso Rock Villa Closed-Door Meeting

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is meeting with Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa in Abuja.

Adeleke arrived at the presidential complex at about 5:25 pm on Thursday for his first meeting with Tinubu since his re-election in last Saturday’s governorship election.

The governor, dressed in a navy blue traditional outfit and carrying a walking stick, arrived in a black Toyota Land Cruiser SUV alongside the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu.

The meeting comes days after Tinubu personally called Adeleke to congratulate him on his victory in the election.

Tinubu described the outcome as “a fitting assurance that democracy will continue to flourish in our country” and urged Adeleke to unite residents of Osun State irrespective of their political choices in the election.

Other officials from Osun State were also seen arriving at the Villa shortly after Adeleke.

They included the Director-General of the Adeleke Campaign Council, Senator Lere Oyewumi; a member of the council, Mr Sunday Bisi; the Chief of Staff to the Governor of Osun State, Akinleye Kazeem; and Bamidele Salam, the member of the House of Representatives representing Ede North/Ede South/Egbedore/Ejigbo Federal Constituency of Osun State.

The officials were spotted entering the premises through the corridors at about 5:40 pm local time.
