The wife of veteran Nollywood actor Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo, has spoken about the death of her husband, describing him as a loving and supportive partner who meant everything to her.
The development comes after reports that the actor’s daughter announced his death during an emotional live video on Sunday night, leaving fans and colleagues mourning the veteran entertainer.
Speaking in an interview, Ogogo’s wife revealed that she had been married to the actor for more than three decades. She also disclosed that she was once an actress and met Taiwo Hassan while they were both involved in the movie industry.
According to her, she eventually stepped away from acting because the family needed someone to remain at home and take care of their children.
Reflecting on their marriage, she described the late actor as more than just a husband, saying he played the roles of both a father and mother in her life.
She recalled how he never liked seeing her unhappy and always made efforts to put a smile on her face. She further described him as her everything and a deeply caring husband.
The grieving wife also praised Ogogo for being a devoted father who remained committed to their children and consistently supported her, particularly during difficult periods in their lives.
Her emotional recollections offer a glimpse into the private life of the late actor and the profound impact his passing has had on his family.
Her words….
“I am Ajoke Taiwo, the first wife of Ogogo. He was a very good man, a caring husband and he truly loved me. He was like a father and mother to me. He stood by me during the times of trial. He was my everything.
What God took from me is so big and it really hurts me but I can’t question Him. This is a wound that can never heal. He never wanted me to get angry at him. Whenever I get extremely angry, he used to land at the hospital because he would be so hurt”.
