One of the All Progressive Congress’s (APC) members and former aide to Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari, Bashir Ahmad, responded when he learned that Nadeem Anjarwalla, a Binance executive, had escaped from detention.
Nadeem Anjarwalla was one of the two executives from Binance who were arrested in Nigeria on suspicion of tax evasion and other offenses, according to PREMIUM TIMES.
The report further stated that Mr Anjarwalla escaped on Friday, 22 March, from the Abuja guest house where he and his colleague were detained.
However, Bashir Ahmad has now reacted to the report. In a post that he shared on his official X handle on Monday, he said the office of the National Security Adviser has confirmed the report. He said officials responsible for the custody have been arrested.
