Access Bank PLC is set to host its first-ever Africa Trade Conference (ATC), a landmark event aimed at driving Africa’s economic transformation.
The conference, themed “Empowering Africa Through Trade, Innovation, and Sustainable Growth”, will take place on March 12, 2025, in Cape Town, South Africa.
With Africa’s trade finance gap estimated at $81 billion annually, the conference will address systemic challenges hindering trade, particularly for SMEs and domestic firms.
By bringing together key players in trade, finance, and policy, ATC will explore innovative solutions, sustainable trade practices, and strategies to integrate African economies into global value chains.
Group Managing Director/CEO of Access Bank, Roosevelt Ogbonna, emphasised the significance of the event in shaping Africa’s trade future.

A key focus of ATC will be the Africa Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), which aims to reduce trade barriers, enhance infrastructure, and integrate African economies into global markets.
