Senator Samuel Anyanwu has officially resumed office as the National Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), arriving at the Wadata Plaza Secretariat through the service gate in a low-key entry.
His return comes just 48 hours after he petitioned security agencies over an alleged plot by the PDP Governors’ Forum to replace him with Hon. Sunday Ude-Okoye.
The 12-member forum, led by Governor Bala Mohammed, had backed Ude-Okoye, citing an Appeal Court ruling.
However, Anyanwu insists he remains the rightful occupant of the office, armed with a valid stay of execution order pending his Supreme Court appeal.
Despite the leadership rift, normal activities continue at the PDP Secretariat under the watchful eyes of stationed security personnel.
