Nollywood actor, Charles Okocha, has called for a rematch of the recent boxing match with controversial singer, Portable.
He demanded that the entire match be cancelled, alleging trickery and an incompetent referee.
Charles was defeated by Portable in a recent match on December 26.
Portable was named the winner by the referee, completing his requirements to win the boxing bout.
Charles Okocha filed a complaint against the referee and the fight organisers shortly after the results were announced, stating that Portable removed his boxing gloves during the third round, which should have resulted in automatic disqualification.
In a post on his Instagram page, he said: “How can you give up in the 3rd round when we have 4 rounds? How do you take off your gloves in the third round, leading to total disqualification when the fight hasn’t ended?”
“Y’all know this was rigged, with an incompetent referee who knows nothing about boxing rules. Nevertheless, we move on. Rematch coming soon.”
