BREAKING: Details Of Tinubu’s Meeting With IBB, Gen Abdulsalami In Minna Emerges

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu paid a courtesy visit to former Military President, General Ibrahim Babangida (rtd), in Niger state where both men were reported to have discussed issues of national importance.

Tinubu who was in Niger to commission the newly built agric mechanization revolution project executed by Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago in Minna, Niger state capital met with Gen Babangida at his residence in Minna.

During the one-day visit, the President also visited and commissioned the remodeled terminal of the Minna Airport now, renamed Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Airport.

Unnamed sources who spoke to the press said both leaders spoke privately for more than an hour on issues affecting citizens with Governor Bago of Niger State the only individual permitted in the meeting.

Former President Babangida, it was learned, “offered him (Tinubu) advice as a statesman and stressed the need to urgently work his talk.”

It was learned that he advised that all programs of the government should be targeted at the common man and promised to make his door open anytime to all leaders but insisted on maintaining the unity of the country.

Gen. Babangida was Nigeria’s military president between 1985 and 1993.

Meanwhile, an X user confirmed that President Tinubu visited General Abdulsalam Abubakar in Minna after commissioning Governor Bago’s project.
