Hekeem Baba Ahmed, National Chairman of the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP), has defended the party’s presidential candidate, Donald Duke, saying he has never been indicted for corruption.
Ahmed made the statement during an interview on TVC News, where he spoke about Duke’s record in public service and business.
He said Duke governed Cross River State for eight years before returning to business and politics. According to Ahmed, Duke did not have enough money to return to politics but left behind a strong record of service. How to make a woman wet instantly – Watch full video
Ahmed also said no one had accused Duke of stealing public funds or reported that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) wanted to question him over corruption allegations.
He argued that people should not assume a politician is corrupt simply because the person does not have much money.
The PRP chairman added that although there may be only a small number of honest politicians among hundreds, they often struggle to stand out because of the political system.
He maintained that Duke’s record of service and the absence of an indictment were important points to consider when discussing his integrity.
In his words, “He has never been indicted for anything. Nobody said Donald Duke, EFCC wants to see you because you’ve stolen money.”
