Report has it that popular singer, Rihanna is currently caught in a whirlwind of anxiety as her boyfriend, A$AP Rocky reportedly stands risk of trial on gun charges.
Sources close to her reveal she’s deeply troubled by the uncertainty of the case.
The thought of possibly raising their two young children alone looms over her, making it impossible to ignore the harsh reality.
According to an insider who spoke with InTouch Weekly,
“Their legal team is confident that A$AP Rocky won’t face jail time, but Rihanna knows the unpredictability of the justice system. She’s trying to prepare herself mentally for the worst-case scenario.”
The couple’s shared fear of separation has led them to embrace life fully over the past year.
“They’ve been travelling extensively, creating memories together as a family,” the source added. “But the possibility of him being sentenced to prison for up to 24 years has been hard to ignore. It’s kept them awake at night.”
The insider continued, “Rihanna is determined to stand by him through thick and thin, but the idea of explaining his absence to their kids is unbearable. Their boys adore their father, and breaking that bond would be heart-wrenching for her.”
Despite their efforts to remain positive, the weight of the impending trial lingers heavily on the couple. “They’re trying to live in the moment, but there’s no denying that this nightmare is always at the back of their minds,” the source admitted.
The rapper’s legal woes stem from an incident in November 2021, during which he allegedly fired multiple shots at his former friend, A$AP Relli, in Los Angeles.
One of the bullets reportedly grazed Relli’s hand.
Following a thorough investigation, A$AP Rocky was arrested at Los Angeles International Airport in April 2022.
He faces two felony charges of assault with a semi-automatic weapon.
If convicted, Rocky could spend up to 24 years behind bars.
His trial is set to begin on January 21, 2025, as reported by CBS News.
Adding to the legal battle, A$AP Relli has filed two civil lawsuits, accusing Rocky of causing emotional and physical trauma.
Relli’s lawyers released a statement, claiming,
“Without provocation or warning, A$AP Rocky produced a handgun and fired multiple shots with the intent to harm.”
