BREAKING: Former NNPP Chairman Dumps Party, Gives Reasons As He Joins APC

Rambi Ayala, a former chairman of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) in Gombe State has resigned from his party.

Joining the All Progressives Congress (APC), Ayala was received by the governor of Gombe State, Muhammadu Yahaya on Monday, February 3.

While welcoming Ayala to the APC, the governor stated that the party abhors discrimination as all members are regarded as equals.

He also assured that members would receive equal treatment regardless of when they joined the ruling party.

Speaking on his defection from NNPP, the former party chairman who defected with some key members in the state said he believes he can access the dividends of democracy in APC.

He added, “We decided to rejoin the APC to complement Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya’s efforts in providing the dividends of democracy across the nook and crannies of the state to our people.”

He further appreciated the governor for the warm welcome he received and his efforts in building Gombe State.

Representing the governor the state’s commissioner for water, environment and forest resources, Mohammed Fawu said the defection of Ayala from the NNPP is a win for democracy.

“With the coming of Hon. Rambi onboard, APC is getting more grounds in Tangale Waja,” Fawu said.
