Governor Caleb Mutfwang of Plateau State has reshuffled his cabinet, creating a new Ministry for Livestock Development, Veterinary Services, and Fisheries.
A statement issued on Tuesday by Mr Samuel Jatau, the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), outlined the cabinet changes that followed the inauguration of five new commissioners appointed by the governor.
While some previous commissioners retained their roles, others were reassigned to different ministries.
The reshuffle saw Mr Musa Ashoms moved from the Ministry for Information and Communications to the Ministry for Youth and Sports Development. Mr Ubandoma Laven was transferred from the Ministry for Housing and Urban Development to the Ministry for Works, while Dr. Cletus Shurkuk was shifted from the Ministry of Health to the Ministry of Science and Technology.
New commissioners included Mr Sylvanus Dongtoe, appointed to head the Ministry for Housing and Urban Development; Mrs Joy Ramnap, who took over the Ministry for Information and Communications; Dr Nicholas Baamlong, appointed to the Ministry of Health; Mr Cornelius Doeyok, who was assigned to the Ministry for Culture, Tourism, and Hospitality; and Dr Sunday Akpa, who will oversee the newly established Ministry for Livestock Development, Veterinary Services, and Fisheries.
