Governor Siminalayi Fubara, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party is one of the most respected and revered politicians in the South South geopolitical zone of the country. He took over from his Predecessor, Nyesom Wike as the executive Governor of Rivers State on the 29th of May, 2023.
Governor Siminalayi Fubara stated on his verified Facebook page; “Members of the House of Representatives Committee on Public Accounts today paid us a courtesy visit. Led by the Chairman, Hon. Bamidele Salam, the visit was quite a pleasantly rewarding forum in which I reiterated our administration’s commitment to transparency and accountability with regards to managing the state’s resources.”
The Peoples Democratic Party chieftain added; “We shared our experience on improving internally generated revenue and how we have been executing projects directly through IGR without recourse to borrowing.”
