Nollywood actor Timini Egbuson has spoken about one of the biggest regrets of his life, revealing that his strong focus on work and money led to the loss of a woman he believes was his soulmate.
Naija News reports that the actor shared that at the time, there were no major problems between them, as she only wanted him to be more present in the relationship.
However, Timini was deeply invested in building his career and securing financial success, believing that providing money was the best way to show love.
In an interview with Jay On Air, the actor explained that he expected his partner to understand his constant absence, as he felt pressured to work hard and secure a future.
Over time, this mindset created a gap between them, and she eventually moved on and married someone else who could give her the attention he could not offer then.
Timini admitted that losing her still weighs heavily on him, as he strongly feels she was meant to be his life partner.
According to him, being emotionally available is just as important.
The thespian noted that listening, paying attention to small details, being present, and showing real interest in a partner’s daily life all play a major role in keeping a relationship healthy.
The actor warned that focusing only on money can attract the wrong kind of partner or change a good one into someone who measures love only by material things.
