Gov. Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State says his administration will continue to empower young creative minds by providing opportunities for innovation through entertainment, sports sustainability to make Lagos a model city for Africa.
The governor said this when he received Marlene Ngoyi, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Fund for Export in Africa .
She led the representatives of E1 Powerboat Racing Team and the ex-international Didier Drogba on a courtesy call at the Lagos House, Marina.
The governor said that to achieve this vision, the Lagos State Government had been working to create an enabling environment that supports youth development.
“Our goal is to invest in initiatives that foster creativity, entrepreneurship, skills development and socio-economic advantages.
“Our commitment is to help the teams with logistics, plannings, get approvals, visas, promote conversations for programmes scheduled to hold September this year.
“Lagos State remains a model, the centre of excellence,” he said.
Ngoyi, the CEO, said that the purpose of the visit was for the teams to partner Lagos State Government on sustainable sports while using it to transform the lives of youths in Africa.
