BREAKING: Popular Nigerian Singer Marries Three Wives In A Day (PHOTOS)

Popular Nigerian singer who is widely known as Delta State-based highlife musician, Arube Otor,  known as ‘Isoko Fela One,’ married three brides on Sunday in a grand ceremony held at the Anglican Church Field in London Base, Uzere Kingdom, Isoko South Local Government Area of Delta State.

The musician, who is celebrated for his contributions to Isoko Highlife music and as the founder of the Aruba Dance Band, had previously sparked social media buzz when his pre-wedding flyer featuring his three brides went viral earlier this month.

Dressed in matching traditional outfits and white caps with black accents, the groom and his brides—Oghenekome, Ewoma, and Oghenekaro—were the centre of attention.

Guests were treated to a vibrant celebration, which featured live performances by the groom himself and symbolic cultural rituals, including the presentation of kola nuts to the brides’ families as a gesture of unity and fertility.

According to the musician’s foster son, Emperor Efih, the decision to hold a joint wedding ceremony for the three brides was made to minimise costs.

Efih revealed that the brides hail from different parts of Delta State: Lagos-Iyede in Ndokwa East, Oruamudhu Ozoro in Isoko North, and Uroto Quarter in Ozoro Kingdom.

He also shared that Arube initially intended to marry four women but proceeded with three after one of the women opted out for personal reasons.

“None of the brides is from his community, and he met and courted them at different times. Two of the three women have already given birth to a child each for him, while the third is yet to have a child. He performed the traditional marriage rites for all three about a year ago on the same day,” Efih said.

Arube, who has over 10 albums to his name, is a native of Uzere Kingdom and is known for his energetic performances and dedication to preserving Isoko culture through music.

He has been a prominent figure in the highlife music scene, and this wedding has further cemented his cultural legacy.

This is not his first experience with polygamy.

Twenty years ago, he married two women, although one later divorced him, leaving him with one wife before this new union.
