A WALMART shopper has shared the comeback she wishes she could give receipt checkers who try to stop her when exiting the store.

Receipt checking has become more and more common as retailers like Walmart try to combat a rise in shoplifting and problems with self-checkout kiosks.

Shoppers around the country have complained about the trend on social media , calling it degrading and a waste of time .

One such shopper found the perfect sassy response she would like to give to thenext receipt checker she comes by.

“No, you can’t. You’re not going to harass me over a $3 thing of water,” a shopper says in an X post shared by QueenMother ( @QueenMother1976 ) on Wednesday.

The woman in the video was stopped by an employee and asked to show her receipt on her way out of aWalmart .
“I got all these groceries in a sack, and you think I am stealing a $3 bottle of water? I don’t think so. You can’t check my receipt,” she asked.

And when the store worker explained that she was simply doing her job, the shopper knew what to say in response.

“No, I am doing your job,” she shot back.

“See, they need to have you over on a register. Y’all all got grandma on the registers with 15 people behind her, and nobody is checking. Don’t bother me today,” she said, walking out of the store.

The influencer who shared the video wholeheartedly agreed with the shopper.

“She is all of us atWalMart now,” QueenMother wrote in the post’s caption.

“Have us up in there doing theirjobs and want to ask for a receipt because one thing isn’t bagged. I think not,” she said.

“Team Albertson’s and Aldi,” she overlaid on the clip.

Dozens of people have liked the short clip and several have left comments.

“Priceless and exactly point on. What a classy way of addressing the elephant in the room. Love it,” one person replied.

“Agreed… if they’re gonna demand that we do our own check-out and bagging, and then wanna check that we did it…” another said.

“Employee is just doing their job, they aren’t policymakers,” a third posted.
