Galatasaray are close to securing Manchester United midfielder Manuel Ugarte on loan, with the Turkish club making significant progress in negotiations, according to Turkish journalist Ertan Suzgun.
The proposed deal is expected to be a loan without a mandatory purchase option, allowing Galatasaray to add quality to their midfield without committing to a large transfer fee or salary burden.
The 24-year-old is understood to be seeking a move where he can play regularly, making Galatasaray a logical destination.
Ugarte has struggled for game time at Manchester United. This season, he has featured in 13 matches without registering a goal or an assist.
