“I Had Too Many Suitors To Be Single At 30” — Ashmusy

Nigerian influencer Amarachi Amusi, popularly known as Ashmusy, has spoken on the pressure she faced after turning 30 without getting married or having children.

Speaking during an appearance on BBC Africa’s podcast The Conversation, the social media personality shared her thoughts on relationships, family expectations, and the reasons behind her decision to freeze her eggs.

Naija News reports that Ashmusy revealed that while growing up, she believed she would already be married with children by the age of 30.

According to her, she had many admirers and expected that settling down would happen naturally before reaching that age. However, life did not unfold the way she had imagined.

She said becoming a mother had always been one of her biggest dreams, especially during her twenties when she pictured herself building a family much earlier.

The actress explained that the expectations placed on her were not only personal.

As the first daughter in her family, she also faced pressure from relatives and society, who expected her to marry and start a family before reaching 30.

Despite receiving attention from several suitors over the years, Ashmusy said she became more careful about choosing a life partner.

She said: “I always thought I would be married with children before I turned 30 because I had so many suitors while growing up. Becoming a mother has always been one of my biggest life goals. As the first daughter in my family, there was a lot of pressure from relatives who expected me to settle down early.

“Seeing so many relationships fail made me more careful about choosing the person I want to spend my life with. At this stage of my life, I value peace of mind and emotional stability more than trying to meet society’s expectations.

“Freezing my eggs gives me the freedom to make decisions about marriage and motherhood without feeling pressured by my age. My decision does not mean I am against marriage. I simply want to make the right choice at the right time.”

Favor As Higher Power?

(The hidden truth)

Some positions in life cannot be held or retained for long if you are not favored. Favor is higher power. You are not the only one desiring, deserving, connected, powerful or qualified. Some positions in life, opportunities, success, achievements, triumphs, selection, approvals, power and position, elevation, patronage, etc, are mainly through favor. Favor is silent, spiritual and higher power. For spiritual guidance, other solutions, call/Whatsapp Dr J.A. Faros on 07030514063. With God, all are possible.
