Nigerian chef, Hilda Baci has opened up on her past struggles in life, stating she once had no home.
The news was shared by Instablog on May 23, 2023.
If you recall, Baci attempted to break a world record for cooking for 100 hours. She surpassed the previous world record set by an Indian chef, Lata Tondon, in 2019
In a recent interview with TVC, she noted that she has come a long way in life before she gained popularly.
According to her, there was a time she had no roof over her head.
The 26-year-old chef stated that she hopes her past experience would serve as an inspiration to others.
In her words, “A lot of people see this buzz now, and most of them think I dropped from the sky. They don’t know I was homeless at some point.”
She said that her recent achievement is still part of a journey and she’s not yet done.
Hilda also noted that it’s not always going to be easy for her but she would keep striving.
She said “we need more examples like this so people can say, Hilda did it, so I can do it as well.”
