JUST IN: US Reportedly Warns Gulf Allies of Possible Intense Military Action Against Iran After Midterm Polls

According to a report by the Times of Israel on Wednesday October 28, 2026, the United States has reportedly warned several Gulf Arab countries to prepare for a possible short but intense military offensive against Iran following the American midterm elections, The Wall Street Journal says.

The newspaper, citing sources familiar with the discussions, said Washington had communicated the warning to Gulf states whose identities were not disclosed. The reported preparations come amid growing indications that the US and Israel could be moving towards another round of military confrontation with Tehran.

As part of the apparent preparations, the US military is reportedly transferring a Patriot air defence battery from Texas to strengthen its defensive capabilities. American forces are also being moved away from bases considered vulnerable to potential Iranian attacks.

These measures indicate that Washington is taking precautions against possible retaliation should hostilities resume. However, the report did not establish whether a final decision to launch a new offensive had been made.

The White House declined to confirm the reported military plans, saying it would not discuss sensitive operations that may or may not be under consideration.

At the same time, the administration reiterated President Donald Trump’s position on Iran’s nuclear programme, stressing that all available options remain under consideration to prevent Tehran from acquiring a nuclear weapon.

At the moment, however, the timing and scope of any potential military action remain uncertain.
