Keke Palmer files restraining order against Darius Jackson to keep 8-month-old son safe from ‘abuse’

In a restraining order filed in Los Angeles on Thursday, November 9, Keke Palmer requests sole custody of her 8-month-old son Leodis, whom she shares with her ex-partner Darius Jackson — accusing Jackson of emotional and physical abuse.According to court records obtained by Page Six, the 30-year-old star of ‘Nope’ was offered the option to grant the fitness instructor shared custody of Leodis Andrellton Jackson, or “Leo,” but she declined to do so.

According to court filings obtained by USA Today and filed in Los Angeles Superior Court, Palmer asserted that Jackson, 29, has been “unhinged, volatile and dangerous to both me and our son.”Palmer claimed in her lawsuit that she had been assaulted by Jackson “multiple times over the past 2+ years,” with the most recent incident occurring only last weekend.

She submitted written accounts of several incidents of emotional and physical abuse along with still images from security camera footage as proof. In addition to asking for both a temporary restraining order and a domestic violence restraining order, the ‘Nope’ actress requested the court for both legal and physical custody of her kid, Leodis.

Palmer agreed to cover the “reasonable expenses of pregnancy and birth” in her request for full custody. She did, however, request that each party pay for their own legal expenses.

The records also state that the court may “issue an earnings assignment without further notice to either party” and “may make orders” for child support.

The couple, who began dating in 2021, temporarily ignited a section of the internet in July when Jackson at the time tweeted his displeasure with a revealing dress and black bodysuit Palmer was wearing to Usher’s Las Vegas residency concert.Palmer embraced motherhood and a new chapter in her life the following month, appearing in the music video for Usher’s brand-new track ‘Boyfriend.’
