Nigerian Army Reacts After Some Youths Attacked And Killed Soldiers on Peace Mission in Delta State

The Nigerian Army has issued a statement following a tragic incident in Delta State, where soldiers on a peacekeeping mission were ambushed and killed by youths from the Okuoma community in Bomadi Local Government Area.

According to a report from the HQ Nigerian Army official Facebook page, the soldiers, belonging to the 181 Amphibious Battalion, were responding to a distress call stemming from a communal crisis between the Okuama and Okoloba communities.

The reinforcement team, led by the Commanding Officer, also came under attack, resulting in the loss of the Commanding Officer, two Majors, one Captain, and 12 soldiers. The devastating loss has sent shockwaves through the military community and beyond.
