PDP Crisis Takes New Turn as Benue Chapter Omits Atiku’s Photos During Party’s Important Event
The crisis rocking the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) seems to have taken a different turn with the Benue state chapter of the party given Atiku Abubakar the Rivers state treatment.
The PDP in Benue state
led by Governor Samuel Ortom unveiled campaign materials for the governorship election in the state.
At the event, Ortom
made good his threat of not supporting the PDP’s presidential candidate for the 2023 election.
The state chapter of the PDP
unveiled the branding of over 30 vehicles put together for campaign activities.
The branded vehicles, The Nation reports were without the images of the PDP’s 2023 presidential candidate.
It was gathered that the vehicles were unveiled and distributed to PDP campaign coordinators across the 23 Local Government Areas of Benue state.
As various political parties kick off their
2023 election campaign, the PDP in Rivers state has omitted Atiku’s photos on its branded vehicles.
The vehicles, gathered will be used for campaigns in various communities and local government areas across the state.
According to a lawmaker, the fact that the vehicles were branded with PDP colours is evidence of Governor Wike’s loyalty to the party
The governorship candidate of the PDP in Lagos state, Abdulazeez Adediran known as Jandor, has reacted to Governor Wike’s endorsement of his
Lagos state colleague, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, for a second term in office.
Jandor in an interview on Channels Television’s Politics Today, on Wednesday, October 19, noted that he was not surprised by Wike’s move.
He added that he was not happy with the statement the PDP in Lagos issued in response to Wike
“They should not behave like him (Wike).”
