The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has unveiled a platform known as the ‘One ADC Movement’ aimed at unseating the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 elections.
The platform was launched on Wednesday in Abuja to mobilise party members around unity, discipline and shared political purpose.
Lauretta Onochie, national coordinator of the movement, said the initiative was designed to strengthen solidarity within the party.
She said the movement was created to discourage actions that undermine collective progress within the ADC.
Onochie said the platform emerged from the belief that the strength of a political party lies in the unity of its members.
She said: “This Movement was created to strengthen the bonds within the African Democratic Congress, to encourage reconciliation where there are disagreements, and to remind every member that our collective future is greater than any individual ambition.
“We will promote unity across all structures of the party. We will encourage loyalty to the collective decisions of the party. We will support reconciliation after primaries and internal contests.
“We will discourage anti-party activities that weaken our shared platform. And we will mobilize Nigerians who believe in democratic values to join and strengthen the African Democratic Congress.”
Onochie said the movement goes beyond electoral ambitions and aims to build a stronger party structure.
She said: “Great political parties are not built only during election seasons. They are built through consistent organization, discipline, and unity.”
She said the philosophy of the movement is based on the belief that unity is the greatest strength of any political party.
Onochie said: “The One ADC Movement is built on a simple but powerful principle — that unity is the greatest strength of any political party. A political party is not merely an election platform. It is a community. It is a family.
“It is a gathering of people who believe that together they can build something stronger than themselves. We will engage young people. We will empower women. We will support party structures.
“And we will ensure that every member of the African Democratic Congress understands that their voice matters and their participation is essential.”

Onochie described the unveiling as the beginning of a nationwide campaign to strengthen the ADC, even as she urged members to take the message of unity to all parts of the country.
Onochie said: “Let us carry this message of unity across every ward, every local government, every state, and every community. Let us build bridges where there are divisions. Let us strengthen the structures that will carry our party forward.”
