Super Eagles booked their place in the semifinals of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco with a hard-fought 2-0 victory over Algeria in the quarterfinals.
Second-half goals from Victor Osimhen and Akor Adams proved decisive at the Marrakech Stadium, where 32,465 spectators witnessed a disciplined and clinical Nigerian performance. Both goals came early after the restart, shifting the momentum firmly in Nigeria’s favour and sealing qualification for the last four.
