Nigerian Afrobeats superstar Zlatan Ibile, alongside Mr Eazi have reacted to Barcelona’s loss against Atletico Madrid in the UEFA Champions League.

The second leg at the Wanda Metropolitano wasn’t without its hiccups. Barca dominated from the first whistle, with Lamine Yamal instigating everything dangerous for Hansi Flick’s men.
The 18-year-old winger opened the scoring in the fourth minute, before Ferran Torres levelled the aggregate score twenty minutes later, as it looked like the Catalan giants were set for a comeback in Madrid.
However, the tide changed when Ademola Lookman scored his second goal against Flick’s side at the Metropolitano this season, putting Atletico 3-2 up on aggregate.
An injury to Fermin Lopez and another red card to Eric Garcia further compounded Barcelona’s woes, but Atleti held on to continue their run of victories over Barcelona in the Champions League.
Since 1997, Barcelona have failed to knock Los Rojiblancos out of the UCL, and Simeone ensured the culture continued beyond last night.
Back in 2016, when the same feat happened, Zlatan posted a video of himself sobbing after the game on social media. Last night, he reposted the same clip from ten years ago, incurring funny reactions from fans.
Eazi, on the other hand, wasn’t impressed with the profligacy on display across both legs by Ferran Torres and Marcus Rashford. He took to his X (formerly called Twitter page) to call for Victor Osimhen’s signing. “In other words, Victor Osimhen needs to come to Barcelona.”
Domestic success still in line for Barcelona
Despite their fall in Europe, the season isn’t all gloomy for Hansi Flick’s men. They’ve been knocked out of the Champions League and the Copa del Rey by Atletico Madrid, but they’re nine points clear at the top of the La Liga table.
