Osimhen Backed to Solve Manchester United’s Biggest Problem

Victor Osimhen has been backed to make an immediate impact at Manchester United, with Turkish pundit Yetiş Yönetci making a huge claim about the Galatasaray striker’s ability.

Speaking in comments shared by A Spor, Yönetci argued that there are very few clubs in Europe where Al Hilal-linked Osimhen could not play. The Turkish media personality is convinced that the Nigeria international has the quality to lead the attack of one of England’s most famous clubs.

“Victor Osimhen would be the cure for all of Manchester United’s woes,” Yetiş Yönetci said.

Former Göztepe youth chief scout Burak Kural agreed with that assessment.

“Absolutely! There are very few teams in Europe that Osimhen couldn’t play for.”

Why United fit the Osimhen profile

Manchester United could offer Osimhen the type of stage Yönetci had in mind. United finished third in the 2025-26 Premier League season with 69 goals and 71 points, but Arsenal finished 14 points ahead of them as champions.

United also relied heavily on Bruno Fernandes for attacking production. Fernandes recorded 21 assists and nine league goals during the campaign and won the Premier League Player of the Season award.

Osimhen would give that attack a different weapon. He attacks space at speed, competes strongly in the air and can finish chances with both feet. His movement can also create room for attacking midfielders to make runs around him.

His record at Galatasaray gives the claim a clear base. Osimhen scored 22 goals and supplied eight assists in 33 official appearances in 2025-26. He also scored 37 goals in all competitions during his first season in Istanbul, including 26 in the Turkish league.

His European record is another reason for the praise. In February 2026, Osimhen scored against Juventus as Galatasaray reached the Champions League last 16. That goal took him to 13 European goals for the club, making him Galatasaray’s highest-scoring foreign player in European competition at that point.

United therefore would not be buying only a striker who scores in domestic games. They would be adding a forward with experience of major European nights. However, the Old Trafford giants are not currently actively in the race to sign the Super Eagles forward, with Arsenal believed to be leading that race at the moment.
