Numan the headquarter of the Bwatiye nation, came to life at the weekend as residents, community and political stakeholders across the length and breadth of the state gathered at the ancient city to witnessed a civil reception in honour of one of its illustrious son and daughter of the state, Mr. Zachary Madaya and his wife Mrs.Bema Olvadi Madayi over their recent appointments by president Bola Ahmed Tinubu as renewed hope ambassadors for Adamawa state, and Federa Commissioner of Federal Charecter Commission! (FCC) respectively.
Most of the stakeholders who spoke at the event commended the duo for their steadfast and positive contributions to the development of the state and the country.
Speaking at the event, the National Security Adviser, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, represented by his son Mahmud Nuhu Ribadu, commended president Tinubu for the appointments which he described as well- deserved and a testament to the president’s love for the state.
Also speaking, Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, represented by his deputy, Prof. kalatapwa Farauta, congratulated the appointees for bringing honour and dignity to their people.
He applauded the president for always considering Adamawa in his appointments without recourse to primordial sentiments.
He reiterated the commitments of his administration to partner with the Federal Government to bring dividends of democracy to the doorstep of the people of Adamawa state, urging them to rally round Mr.president and PDP led Administration in the state to move the country and the state forward.
In their separate remarks, the appointees thanked Ribadu for facilitating their appointments and president Tinubu for finding them worthy of the appointments.
