Unexpectedly, one of the captors fell sick and was not getting better. The pastor asked him, “Should I pray for you?” He agreed, and after the prayer, he recovered.
Following this, the militants began to care for him and offered him food. However, Pastor Samuel declined, telling them, “I don’t need your food, what I need is for you to release me.”
His words: “ I was kidnapped by Boko Haram and spent three months with them. They took me while I was traveling to the North. We trekked deep into the bush until we reached their camp, and all the while I prayed that God would show His mighty hand.
Then something unexpected happened, one of them fell sick and wasn’t getting better. I asked him, “Should I pray for you?” He said yes. So I prayed for him, and he recovered.
After that, they began to take care of me and gave me food. But I told them, “I don’t need your food, what I need is for you to release me.”
