Kalu Agu, an ADC chieftain and former Abia State chairman of the party, has said that supporters of Peter Obi and members of the Obidient Movement will hold Abia State Governor Alex Otti accountable in 2027 for supporting President Bola Tinubu.
In an interview with SYMFONI on October 29, 2026, Agu said Otti became governor with the support of the Obidient Movement but had since taken a different political position by supporting Tinubu instead of Obi.
Agu accused the governor of denying the role played by the Obidient Movement in his emergence as governor of Abia State. He said Obi’s supporters would not be pleased with Otti’s decision and would respond to his political position ahead of the 2027 general election.
He maintained that Otti’s relationship with Obi’s supporters could become an issue as political activities ahead of the 2027 elections gather momentum.

In Agu’s words:“The first people that will deal with Alex Otti are the Obidients and we because he is an ingrate. He became governor of Abia State with the help of the Obidient structure. But today, he’s telling them he became governor not with their assistance. So by 2027, they’re going to deal with him for leaving Peter Obi to be supporting Tinubu.”
