While reacting to the backlash against El-Rufai over a viral video of him on the internet speaking on the Muslim Muslim ticket,the former aviation minister, Femi Fani Kayode, asserted that the former Governor of Kaduna State, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, is not a religious bigot and that he can identify one if he sees one.
It was gathered that in the viral video,El Rufai, while speaking in Hausa, disclosed that according to their plan, the political leadership of a Muslim-Muslim ticket is to be preserved for the last eight years in Kaduna.
El Rufai also revealed that there was no Christian who could say that he or she were discounted,adding that the APC plan is to retain power with a Muslim-Muslim ticket for the next 20 years.
Reacting via his Twitter handle, Fani Kayode said El Rufai is neither a religious bigot nor a terrorist, as many have tagged him.
“I know a religious bigot when I see one, and I can assure you that Nasir El Rufai is not one of them. Neither is he a Muslim fundamentalist, a terrorist, or a jihadi.
If Rufai were any of these things, he would have been explicitly condemned by me rather than being my brother and earning my respect”. Kayode wrote.
