Controversial Nigerian social media personality Hauwa Saidu Mohammed, popularly known as Jaruma, has reportedly been taken to the National Hospital in Abuja over a breast-related health concern while in police detention.
The influencer has reportedly been in police custody since Monday following her online claims about an alleged rift between Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Tinubu, and a woman she described as one of his girlfriends.
According to SaharaReporters, a source familiar with the development said the Investigating Police Officer (IPO) handling the case took Jaruma to the hospital on Saturday after it became apparent that she required medical attention.
The source disclosed that she had visited the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) to see the detained influencer but was informed that Jaruma had already been taken to the hospital for treatment.
Expressing concern over Jaruma’s condition, the source reportedly linked the health concerns to the duration of her detention and called on the relevant authorities to intervene.
The source said: “I have just been informed that she was rushed to the National Hospital because of a breast-related health concern reportedly linked to her prolonged detention.
“I am currently at FCID, but she is not here. I was told that the IPO took her to the hospital a short while ago. This development is deeply concerning. We need the necessary intervention to ensure her health and welfare are prioritised.”
The reported hospital admission has raised concerns about the influencer’s health and welfare while in police custody.
However, the circumstances surrounding her reported health condition and the nature of the medical treatment she is receiving were not independently confirmed in the information available.
