OFFICIAL: Bukayo Saka signs new long-term Arsenal contract

Arsenal forward Bukayo Saka has signed a new long-term contract at the Emirates Stadium, the club announced on Tuesday.

Arsenal have confirmed that Bukayo Saka has signed a new long-term contract with the north London club.

Arsenal and England winger Bukayo Saka has signed a new four-year contract with the Gunners. The 21-year-old became the first Premier League player to hit double-digit goal and assist tallies this season.

Saka follows Gabriel Martinelli and Aaron Ramsdale in signing a new contract with Arsenal. Talks are continuing with William Saliba over an extension, as Arsenal look to secure the futures of all their best young talents.

The 21-year-old, who has featured in every single one of our Premier League matches over the past two seasons. He has scored 14 goals in all competitions in 2022/23, including 11 assists, bettering his tally of 12 goals last season, according to an article published on Arsenal official website.

Having represented England at youth level, Bukayo made his senior international debut in October 2020 and was one of the stars of Euro 2020, becoming the youngest player ever to appear for the Three Lions in a major final when they faced Italy at Wembley.

Though, Saka has been one of Arsenal’s standout players in the last two seasons, while also establishing himself as a key player for Gareth Southgate’s England team since the European Championships in 2021.

“I’m just really happy,” Saka told the Arsenal official website.

He also said that, “There’s been a lot of talking and it’s been a while, but I’m here now. I think this is the right club, the right place to make the next step. It’s a beautiful club.

“I think I have everything I need to become the best player I can be, and that’s why I’m happy to stay here and be here for the future, because I really believe that we can achieve big things, he added.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta welcomed the new deal, which will reportedly keep Saka in north London until 2027.

Mikel Arteta said that, “Retaining our best young talents is key to our continued progress and Bukayo represents such an important part of our squad now and for the future.
