Primate Ayodele Warns Atiku, ADC Against October 31 Campaign Kickoff

The Leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has warned the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and its presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, against commencing their campaign on October 31, 2026.

Ayodele urged the opposition party to reconsider its planned campaign kickoff date, advising its leadership to reschedule the event to any date in November to avoid a potential setback.

The cleric issued the warning in a video shared on his Facebook page on Thursday, October 29, 2026, describing his message as a spiritual warning that should not be ignored.

According to him, October 31 is not a favourable date for the ADC’s campaign and could pose challenges to the party’s presidential ambition if it proceeds with the planned commencement.

“Change the date of your campaign commencement from 31 October to any date in November,” Ayodele said.

Ayodele Predicts Setback for ADC

Explaining his position, the cleric said he foresaw difficulties for the ADC if it insisted on starting its campaign on October 31.

He maintained that moving the kickoff to a date in November could help the party avoid the setback he predicted and improve its chances of having a smooth campaign commencement.

“I am seeing a setback if you start on October 31. The date is not good. Move it to any date in November, then you can have a smooth sail,” he added.

Ayodele further advised Atiku Abubakar and the ADC leadership to take his warning seriously and consider changing the date before proceeding with their campaign plans.

He said his message was not motivated by personal interest but was intended to guide the party in his capacity as a spiritual father.

Primate Ayodele Addresses Atiku, ADC Leadership

The cleric’s warning comes as the ADC and its presidential candidate prepare for their planned campaign activities ahead of the 2027 general election.

By specifically mentioning Atiku and the party’s leadership, Ayodele urged the opposition camp to reconsider its plans and avoid what he described as an unfavourable date for the commencement of its political activities.

However, the warning represents Ayodele’s spiritual prediction, and no evidence was provided in the statement to independently establish that the proposed date would result in the difficulties he anticipated.

It was also not stated whether Atiku Abubakar or the ADC leadership had responded to the cleric’s advice or indicated any intention to change the planned kickoff date.
