Fuji music icon, King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, popularly known as K1 De Ultimate, became emotional during a live stage performance while mourning the death of veteran Nollywood actor, Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo.
In a video circulating on social media, the Fuji maestro broke down in tears while paying tribute to the late actor and reflecting on his legacy in the Nigerian entertainment industry.
During the performance, K1 De Ultimate rendered a tribute song for Ogogo but became overwhelmed by emotion as he sang about the actor’s death.
The musician stepped away from his microphone and wept openly, prompting his band members to pause the performance and console him.
After composing himself, K1 De Ultimate continued with the tribute as he mourned the actor, who died on Sunday, August 23, 2026, at the age of 66.
The actor had reportedly been battling stage-four cancer. His daughters, Kaira and Lima Taiwo, had on August 17 appealed for medical assistance for their father, saying doctors had informed the family that they could no longer administer chemotherapy due to his condition.
The actor’s death has since sparked an outpouring of tributes from colleagues, friends, fans and other personalities in the entertainment industry.
Meanwhile, burial arrangements have been announced for the late actor, which would be taken place at his hometown, Ilaro, Ogun State, on Monday.
