Former Big Brother Naija Level Up winner Phyna has responded to Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing following the actress’ criticism of her activities on social media.
The controversy began after Nkechi publicly questioned whether Phyna had people around her who could advise her about her online activities. The actress described some of the reality star’s social media behaviour as a nuisance and also reminded Phyna of their age difference, warning her against disrespecting her.
Phyna has now reacted to the actress’ comments, expressing surprise that Nkechi had publicly addressed her despite the fact that they are neither friends nor business associates.
According to Phyna, Nkechi contacted her about two months ago regarding a movie project and requested her account details after asking about her fee.
Phyna explained that she eventually responded later that same day but was told by Nkechi that she had already cast another person because she did not want the production to be delayed.
Phyna said:
“Nkechi reached out to me. She said we should do her film. She messaged me for the amount. When I told her, she said ₦1.5m was too much. I asked how much she was going to pay me because I had to tell her I wanted her to come do live streaming with me, but she didn’t say anything again.
“She said she doesn’t delay her job, that she sent me a message in the morning and I was just replying in the evening, so she had cast someone else. I apologised. No other conversation, no other chat. We are not friends.”
The reality star also appeared to question why Nkechi had chosen to publicly criticise her despite their limited interaction.
Phyna further referred to the actress as “grandma” during her response and suggested that she would release screenshots of their previous conversation to provide context to the situation.
The exchange between the two entertainers has since generated reactions across social media, with users weighing in on the public disagreement and the claims made by both parties.
As the controversy continues to unfold, attention remains focused on whether Phyna will release the alleged screenshots of her conversation with Nkechi Blessing.
